2. Brief Auto-biography of the Staff
Silas Wataki is an experienced Administrator whose objective is to utilize his knowledge and skills in ICT, administration and research to provide quality solutions to problems and to provide necessary technical as well as strategic expertise to the organization with the desired end result of driving institutional performance and sustainable development.
Mr. Wataki has played a crucial role at Laikipia University since he joined the institution in the year 2015 among them: Strategy formulation and implementation; Coordination of performance contracting; Implementation and auditing of the Integrated Management System based on ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2013; Faculty administration; Business process re-engineering; Automation of workflows, Implementation of rapid results initiatives; Productivity Improvement; and Provision of secretariat services to university committees. Prior to joining Laikipia University, Mr. Wataki served as a part time lecturer at the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM).
