Brief Auto-biography of the Faculty/Staff

Dr. Albert Mugambi Rutere is an Associate Professor of Literature at Laikipia University. He is PhD graduate of Morgan State University (USA), a Masters holder from University of Edinburgh (UK) and undergraduate degree from Kenyatta University (Kenya). He has over 30 years teaching experience at the university level in Kenya, USA and Nigeria. He has taught and supervised both undergraduate students. He has authored and coauthored over 50 papers in referred journals, authored 1 textbook and coedited 2 textbooks. He has been an engaging member of Senate in Laikipia University and The Catholic University of East Africa. He has also been a member of Deans’ Committee and University Management Board at Laikipia University. He has chaired several ad hoc senate and university management board committees at Laikipia University. Even further, he has been a director of board of undergraduate studies and director Nakuru Campus of Laikipia University. The year 2022, he was the acting deputy Vice-Chancellor (administration, finance and planning) at Laikipia University. Currently, he is on sabbatical leave at Meru University of Science and Technology.
