The Computation of the University’s Productivity Index for Financial Year 2023/2024 was undertaken between 18-19th July, 2024 at the University boardroom. The process was facilitated by the officers from the National Productivity and Competitiveness Centre (NPCC), led by Mr. Jerry L.M. Kugo, and Ms. Jecinta Silantoi.
The Productivity Mainstreaming Committee has been spearheading productivity within Laikipia University in line with the institution’s Vision and Mission and the computation will help in the realization of the set goals which are aimed at making the institution competitive.
The Computation of the Productivity Index is vital as it will help put in place mechanisms for productivity improvement in the 2024/2025 Financial Year.
The Productivity Mainstreaming Committee will come up with an Improvement Plan informed by the shortfalls and achievements from the previous financial year in order to make Laikipia University great through the quality services rendered to its clients and stakeholders as well as proper utilization of scarce resources available, guided by its Core Values of- Quality, Integrity, Innovativeness, Inclusivity and Sustainability.
The computation exercise was also attended by The Productivity Mainstreaming Committee led by Prof. Robert Mwebi - Chairperson, Dr. Samuel Onyuma - Director, Directorate of Planning and Performance Management (DPPM), and selected Productivity Champions.
