
Agriprenuership Alliance - Switzerland carried out a pilot business plan training programme for 20 students of Laikipia University, for 12 weeks since June 2018 to October 2018. This was hosted by the School of Business, Laikipia University. Learning was through the AMI platform provided by African Management Initiative.
Participants of the 12 week training programme were awarded Certificates of Completion.
The programme culminated in a Business Plan Competion which was held on 7th November 2018 at Nelson Mandela Hall - LU Main Campus. Seven groups pitched their business plans and the winner was selected by Switzerland panelists. The FreshFarm Mushroom Group won the Business Plan Competition and was awarded a prize of USD 1,000 (Kshs. 100,000) and 12 months mentorship for their business startup.
Prof. Kibett Rotich – Vice Chancellor, Laikipia University and Steve Carr – Agripreneurship Alliance congratulated the winners and wished them well as they actualize their business plan.
