Dr. Fred Cephas Obande Buluma has a Ph.D. (Finance) from the University of Nairobi, a Master of Business Administration from Kenyatta University, a Kenyatta University-trained high school teacher, a Bachelor of Social Sciences from Makerere University, is a Practicing Public Certified Accountant of Kenya, and is a full-time lecturer in the department of finance and accounting at Laikipia University. He has taught part-time at the University of Nairobi Extra Mural Centre (Nakuru), Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology-Nakuru CBD Kenya Methodist University-Nakuru, and Mt Kenya University-Nakuru. He has been an examiner and examination setter for the KASNEB Accountancy professional exams from 2008 up-to 2019. Dr. Buluma attends the annual required Continuing Professional Education programs mandated by ICPAK professional development. He is also a registered and professional accountant and a trainer for small and medium-sized businesses. He has advised community-based organizations (CBOs), NGOs, and small and micro businesses (SMEs) in the domains of finance, accounting, and management. Has had the duty of supervising students on teaching practice, and field attachments. Finally supervises students for PhD, theses, projects for Masters Students in (MBA) Finance and Accounting, degree options, and diploma options in fields related to finance and accounting both as a part-time lecturer at other universities and full time lecturer at Laikipia University.
