January 2014 – Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration & Finance), Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology

Among other duties,

  1. Restructuring of the financial system in the university,
  2. Restructuring and streamline the operations of the Administration,
  3. implement the scheme of service for non-teaching staff,
  4. budgeted for and restarted the stalled projects (Multi-purpose hall, the 1000 women hostels), the construction of the low cost tuition block,
  5. Implementation of the ERP system, automation of the university functions among other strategic developments.
  6. Management Representative (MR) for the ISO 9001-2008
  7. In charge of the Performance contracting,
  8. Overseeing the construction of Admin block, tuition blocs and anatomy lab 2016/17)
  9. Facilitated the Implementation of the strategic plan

  1. Orientating technical institute students (certificate and Diploma) into a university setup,
  2. Streamlining Admission and Examination Procedures,
  3. Guiding the student union in constitution making,

  5. A member of the Strategic Planning and Performance Contract Committees,
  6. Chairman of the Procurement Committee,
  7. Chairman of the Graduation Technical Committee and
  8. Secretary to the College Academic Board,
  9. Facilitating the development of Nursing Degree curriculum

2007-2008 Ag Principal, Kabianga Campus, Moi University
I transformed the campus from a FTC to an Institution of higher learning.
  1. Facilities improvements hostels, class-rooms, common rooms, Residential houses in the campus were renovated and converted to hostels and offices.
  2. October 2007, over 300 JAB students were admitted,
  3. Improve agricultural farming into IGU including tea, poultry, dairy, horticulture and tea farming. 
  4. Set up financial, administrative and human resource systems that enable the campus achieve efficient service delivery to our clients; the students, staff, stakeholders, and suppliers.
