LU 5th Biennial International Conference

Theme: Climate Change Conversation: From Realities to Transformative Action

Date: 24th - 26th May 2023

Currently, the world is faced with some of the greatest climate challenges of all times. Climate Change impact continues to be a daunting and a multi-faceted issue. The impact of climate change has thus greatly increased globally, regionally and even nationally. In sub-Saharan Africa, it is remarkably affecting the most vulnerable persons thus leading to food insecurity, mass displacement of people, and scarcity of water resources among others. It is therefore crucial to have an interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary dialogue with a view to coming up with sound approaches to mitigate against the adverse effects of climate change. Against this background, this conference calls for papers, posters and think pieces that focus on transformative actions against climate change. The conference will debate new approaches and actions that are suitable for tackling current and future climate change challenges.


The sub-themes cover the underlisted areas in relation to climate change:
