Message from the Chairperson
Welcome to the Department of Earth Sciences under the School of Science and Applied Technology. We are firmly committed to providing a student-centered learning environment that is challenging, collaborative, and deeply multidisciplinary.
Our core focus centers on equipping students with vital hands-on technical skills, including cartography, remote sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatial statistics, and environmental sampling and surveying. We train both undergraduates and postgraduates to successfully manage complex, rapidly changing geographical, environmental, and natural resource challenges across time and space.
