Welcome to Laikipia University Library. In your academic pursuits, you will discover that the library is a MUST visit. You are welcome to exploit the rich information resources available in both print and electronic formats. The library has a team of dedicated staff to ensure that your information needs are well met.
The library focuses on providing information resources for learning, teaching and research. The library has varied sections designed to make information access easy, fulfilling and stress free. These include: Circulation; Reserve, Reference; the Digital Library (for E-Resources); Africana/Periodicals & Special Collections; and Archives.
Introduction & Library Mandate
Laikipia University Library plays a central role in supporting the instructional, research, and informational infrastructure of the entire university society. Focused dynamically on optimizing user access, retrieval, and literacy metrics, our foundations are structured directly around strategic academic resource delivery.
- Collect, organize and disseminate information for all teaching, learning and research activities of the university.
- To integrate the use of Information Communication Technology in provision of information resources and services in the university library to enhance retrieval and use.
- Preserve, conserve and restore information resources for the present and future scholarly endeavors.
