Laikipia University has welcomed a team from the Office of the Auditor-General conducting the annual In-Year Systems Compliance Audit aimed at assessing the lawfulness, accountability, and effective use of public resources within the institution.

Laikipia University wishes to inform its stakeholders that Captain (Rtd.) Ezekiel Mateu has officially assumed office as the University's Security Officer, taking over from Mr. Samuel Mwaka Musembi following a formal handover ceremony.

The Laikipia University Students Association (LUSA) has commenced a three-day 4^th – 6^th February, 2026 benchmarking visit to Karatina University, Embu University, and Chuka University as part of efforts aimed at strengthening student leadership, governance, and institutional collaboration.
 

Laikipia University on 26^th February 2026, hosted a Phase Two Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) Supplier Training Workshop organized by The National Treasury of Kenya in partnership with the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI). The capacity-building workshop was aimed at equipping suppliers with the knowledge and practical skills required to effectively participate in the Government’s Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) system.

Laikipia University's Directorate of Research, Gender, and Human Rights organized a three-day Grant Proposal Writing Training workshop held between 23rd-25th February 2026. The primary objective was to enhance the capacity of academic staff and early career researchers.
