University Senate Composition
The University Senate is established as the principal academic organ of the institution. The following members constitute the University Senate:
Executive & Administrative Leadership
- The Vice-Chancellor Chairperson
- The Deputy Vice-Chancellors
- The Registrars
- The Finance Officer
- The University Librarian
Academic & Faculty Governance
- Deans & Directors of Schools, Institutes, Campuses & Academic Units
- Heads of Directorates
- Associate Deans and Directors
- Chairpersons of Academic Departments or Centres
- Professors of the University
Institutional Representatives
- The Dean of Students
- One representative appointed from amongst each School, Institute, or Campus Board
- Two members elected by the Students' Organization
- Other members determined by the Council in accordance with Statutes
Statutory Secretariat The Registrar (Academic Affairs) serves as the Secretary to the Senate.
