Message from the Chairperson

Welcome to the Commerce Department. This is an excellence-oriented department that deals with business-related programmes and professional activities. The department provides quality academic environments, deploying excellent integrated teaching approaches across various curricula to impart strong theoretical knowledge alongside vital social values for the overall development of our students and staff.

Students in our department are exposed to rigorous courses designed to enable them to establish a substantial and dignified source of livelihood after completion of their education. The department also actively fosters high-quality research contributions from both students and faculty members. We wish all incoming students the very best in their corporate and academic pursuits.

Departmental Profile

The Commerce Department integrates critical sub-disciplines of business administration, financial economics, and management science. Our curriculum enables students to develop strong analytical models useful for complex macro-environmental problem-solving and corporate decision-making.

Our competitive graduates regularly enter the global market as professional accountants, corporate managers, certified actuaries, investment banking analysts, marketing directors, and innovative proprietors of small-and-medium enterprises (SMEs).

Activities & Outreach

The department has successfully trained over 100 scholars in agricultural entrepreneurship across different schools. We are establishing dedicated executive short courses in Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management as well as Project Management.
