How to Apply for Transport Services

The chairperson must apply at the beginning of the semester. Address the letter to the DVC (A,F & D) through the Dean of Students, through the Transport Officer, and through the group patron.

Academic Trips

Field excursions and academic tours must be applied for by the lecturer concerned. The lecturer handles the technical application process directly on behalf of the registered students.

Individual Student Needs

For emergency, individual, or medical transport needs, the affected students must immediately report to the Dean of Students, who then directly coordinates logistics with the Transport Desk.

Operational Mandate

The department oversees all physical logistics and scheduling, providing safe and fully compliant transit services for:

  • Academic Field Trips: Scheduled class curriculum-related research travel.
  • Student Organizations: University-registered clubs, sports groups, and societal trips.
  • Faculty, Staff & Stakeholders: Administrative tours, official events, and corporate transport requests.

Fleet Management & Procurement Roles

Beyond driving logistics, our technical division handles complex fleet valuation, regulatory compliance, and optimization standards:

  • Evaluation of University motor vehicles for licensing and determination of age limits for replacement.
  • Technical recommendations regarding appropriate sizing and modeling for newly purchased vehicles.
  • Strict oversight of diagnostic checks, routing, and in-house mechanical repairs.
