Message from the Chief Hospitality Officer
The major purpose of the Halls Department is to accommodate registered students of Laikipia University into available accommodation spaces.
Since there are limited accommodation spaces within the University, booking of rooms is done online on a first-come, first-served basis at a stipulated fee. We are dedicated to providing a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment that enhances your academic focus and personal growth.
There are different hostels structured for both male and female students, all having basic and essential amenities. Our hostels are managed by skilled, experienced, and highly trained staff who prioritize student welfare and security 24/7.
On-Campus Housing & Guidelines
Online Booking Protocol
Registered students must complete room registration through the student portal. Allocation operates strictly on a first-come, first-served basis upon the payment of the stipulated accommodation fees.
Resident Preparation checklist
The essential room furnishings (bed, mattress, study desk) are provided in full. Residents are only required to bring their personal bedding, clothing, and essential toiletries to campus.
Hostel Welfare & Security
Halls are continuously overseen by skilled housekeepers, welfare officers, and 24-hour campus security personnel, maintaining comfortable living standards.

Approved Off-Campus Recommended Hostels
Because on-campus housing is limited, the University maintains a vetted and verified list of recommended private hostels located within a short walking distance from the main gate. The University strongly recommends these off-campus facilities to students who do not get room allocations on campus.
