University Admission Criteria & Entry Requirements

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programmes

Applicants must hold a Master's degree qualification in a relevant field from a recognized institution of higher learning, or its verified academic equivalent.

Master's Degree Programmes

Minimum qualifications require either:

  • A Bachelor's Degree with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) and above; OR
  • A Bachelor's Degree with Second Class Honours (Lower Division) accompanied by at least two (2) years of verifiable, relevant professional work experience.

Postgraduate Diploma Programmes

Applicants must possess a First Degree (Bachelor's qualification) in a relevant academic field of study from an accredited institution.

Bachelor's Degree Programmes

An aggregate KCSE grade of C+ (PLUS) or a relevant Diploma from a recognized institution of higher learning.

Note: Select competitive degree programmes may require a higher aggregate KCSE cluster grade.
