The School of Humanities and Development Studies (SHDS) organized a Student Advising Forum for its students on March 4, 2025, at the Nelson Mandela Hall. The event, an initiative of Dr. Sheila Pamela Wandera-Simwa, the Academic Dean of SHDS, was well-attended by both staff and students. Laikipia University marked the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (IDWGS) with a groundbreaking event to empower and inspire young women and girls to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The auspicious event under the theme: ‘Unpacking STEM Careers: Her Voice in Science,’ took place on Tuesday, 11th February 2025, at the Vision 2030 Hall.
