Academic Qualifications and Work Experience

Dr. Frank Ndakala is a distinguished academic and administrator with extensive experience in higher education and research. He holds a PhD and a Master of Science degree from the University of Nairobi, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

He has served as the Assistant Director at the State Department for Higher Education and Research (SDHE&R) within the Ministry of Education, where he played a crucial role in developing and implementing education policies and programs. Dr. Ndakala also served as the Project Lead and Principal Investigator for the Pfizer Quality Improvement project, which focused on enhancing hospital treatment programs across Kenya.

His research and professional work extend across national, regional, and international levels, reflecting a wide-ranging and impactful engagement with both the academic and policy-making communities. Besides his research and administrative roles, Dr. Ndakala has been a member of the Boards of Management for three national public institutions and the Council of a university, where he has contributed to strategic governance and institutional development.

Currently, Dr. Ndakala serves as a member of the Finance, Investment, and General Purposes Committee and the Human Resource Management Committee of Council, where he provides oversight and guidance on key institutional matters.
