CPA Dr. Charles Anyanga Malalah is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in law, finance, and academia, spanning both Kenya and the United States. He holds a Doctorate of Jurisprudence (Law) and an MBA from North Carolina Central University, USA; a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from William Paterson University, USA; a Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law; and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Dr. Malalah is currently a Professional Law Practitioner at Malalah and Company Advocates. His academic and administrative career includes notable roles such as Director of Corporate Communication and Legal Affairs; Director, and Academic Registrar at Mt. Kenya University, Parklands School of Law Campus. He also served as Acting Vice Chancellor and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance and Administration) at the International University of Professional Studies (IUPS) and as a Senior Lecturer at Mt. Kenya University.
Internationally, Dr. Malalah's expertise has been applied in various high-profile finance and leadership roles. He served as General Manager/CEO and Director of Finance, Administration, and Legal Affairs at the Suburban Maryland Water and Sanitation Commission. His corporate finance experience in the U.S. includes positions such as Finance Controller (Accounting and Revenue/Chief Internal Auditor) at GTSI, Inc., Director of Accounting, Revenue, and Reporting at XM Satellite Radio, Inc., Senior Accountant (International GL Accountant) at WorldSpace Management Corporation, and Revenue Accountant at The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc.
Currently, Dr. Malalah serves as Chairman of the Finance, Investment, and General Purposes Committee, and as a member of the Human Resource Management Committee of the Council. His multidisciplinary expertise contributes significantly to institutional governance, strategic financial oversight, and legal compliance.
