B      Brief Auto-biography

CPA Dr. Achimba is a lecturer in the Department of Commerce, School of Business and Economics (SOBE) at Laikipia University (LU), Kenya where he teaches Accounting and Finance courses to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. He started his career as an accountant from 2001 to 2004. He was employed as a graduate teacher by TSC in 2005 and he taught in high school until 2009 when he was promoted and deployed to Moi Institute of Technology (MIT) as a tutor to teach Accounting and Business Studies. He completed his Certified Public Accountant Final Exams in December 2006 and Certified Public Secretaries Final Exams in December 2009. Subsequently he registered as a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPAK) in 2010. He is a member of the institute in good standing who continues to attend seminars and workshops as prescribed by the institute. He consults with DM Okeyo and Associates in matters relating to Audit and Taxation. He joined Rongo University as an Assistant Lecturer in 2012 in the School of Business where he taught Accounting and Finance courses He was in charge of Industrial Attachment and Field Trips. In 2018, he was appointed as a Lecturer in the same School. In December 2018, he left Rongo University and joined Laikipia University in January 2019 where he is a lecturer in the Department of Commerce. He is currently the Examinations officer of the Department. He is actively involved in research and supervision of master’ students.
